2016 marks 30 years that Carbide Construction has been in business. We are proud to have the opportunity to serve people in the Alexandria and Arlington area with their home construction and remodeling needs.
In 1986, the Gigliotti brothers founded the construction business. They are both hands-on owners taking part in each project to make sure it is completed to their satisfaction. The family owned and operated business provides excellence in craftsmanship, while maintaining a realistic and reasonable turn-around time for completion.
Carbide personally coordinates all aspects of your construction project. For a kitchen or bath redesign, we work out all the details, from cabinet and flooring to electrical and plumbing. We consistently work with the same team of experienced subcontractors who have become a part of the Carbide extended family.
With all this knowledge, experience and consistency, customers can be sure their home’s project will be handled with utmost care. Carbide strives to meet their customer’s needs, and we want to get the job done efficiently, so we are not interrupting your home life any more than needed.
In 2002, Carbide’s modular construction division was added, which allowed us to expand our capabilities and become more eco-friendly. We teamed with Excel Homes, one of the largest modular companies on the East Coast. This has been a great addition to the business, allowing us to provide a different type of home construction that is less expensive and less intrusive. With a modular addition, homeowners can stay in their house during the construction process.
We can also provide new modular homes for customers. Excel Homes expertly crafts the modular project, and we provide the installation and finishing touches. We work with homeowners through every step of the process, making sure their exact specifications are met.
In addition to our modular construction, we also help create homes that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We can help build a new modular ADA-compliant home or an ADA-friendly modular addition. The process is the same as any modular construction project, and we will work hand-in-hand with customers to be sure the construction meets their needs and expectations.
